An exciting update to last year’s presentation at the openBIM Transportation Regional Summit, Scott Lecher will demonstrate real world examples and benefits of open standards such as IFC, BCF, and IDS in the context of BIM for Infrastructure and relate them to well-understood current tools of the trade such as ASCII point files, DXF, LandXML, and PDF. The session will also touch upon model validation workflows and efforts to progress the practice of digital as-builts using open data formats.
