The New (and Old) Face of the BIMForum

This webinar will showcase the various activities and working groups of the BIMForum and its new alliance with bS-USA and invite the wider community to participate in our work of advancing our industry. In the last two decades technologies have demonstrated the power of collaboration, innovation, and technology throughout the design-build-operate life cycle of a facility. At the same time, the fragmented nature of our industry creates challenges for fully leveraging already available and future technologies for a wide range of projects. The BIMForum is the place where practitioners can learn, discuss, plan and implement technology solutions that integrate the efforts of the various project participants and create significant value for our projects.

As an example of our work, we will give a detailed update on our work on the Level of Development (LOD) Specification and its application our industry. This will include:

  • Building systems covered by the LOD Specification
  • Integration of the LOD Specification into international standardization efforts
  • Examples of application of the LOD Specification
